Iron and steel enterprises need to consume large amounts of energy in theproduction process, it produces large quantities of by-product energy by the time. Theheating furnace is the main energy consuming equipment of iron and steel enterprises inthe production process, and the walking-beam reheating furnace is currently the mostwidely used type. The reasonable utilize of by-product energy in the heating processcontrol, can achieve best heating effect, reduce energy consumption, improve theproduction energy consumption, improve production efficiency and environmentalbenefits of enterprises, improve the market competitiveness of enterprises, thus realizethe sustainable development of enterprises.The heating furnace control system including temperature control system andprocess monitoring system. A temperature control system through the reasonablearrangement of various energy and by-product energy, the temperature to meet thereasonable use of by-product energy under the condition of production demand; processmonitoring system for condition monitoring and real-time control of production processof reheating furnace, and ensure the safe and stable operation of production. Thecontrol system of heating furnace based on PLC is safe and efficient.This paper mainly analyzes and designs the control system of heating furnace based onPLC. Monitoring menu mainly: system of general appearance, safety interlock, alarmscreen general appearance, control circuit and parameter setting, real-time trend,historical records, report print screen. It can realize the full understanding and control ofthe entire production process to ensure the safe operation of production by the monitorscreen.
