Multi-parameter water quality monitoring instrument is the main direction ofdevelopment and research focus of modern water quality monitoring technology.Control and data processing software is the key to ensure a stable operation and highaccuracy. In this study, the author carried out some engineering improvement to thelaboratory preliminary-developed model, engaged in the optimizing of control and dataprocessing software, which has clear demands and practical value.This paper analyzed the system structure, operating principle and problemsexisting in the data control and processing system of the multi-parameter water qualitymonitoring instrument. Combining with the hardware improvements on the system, thispaper presented an embedded software system solution with S3C2440as the coreprocessor. Based on S3C2440, this paper optimized the spectral data communicationmode, built the embedded Linux platform, designed the hardware drivers, upgraded theapplication and the database, optimized the graphical user interface, and completed thecommissioning of each module and the online experiment of the system. Results of theexperiment showed that the main performance of the instrument can meet the nationalenvironmental standards related to on-line water quality monitoring instrument.The main work of this paper is as follows:①On the basis of researching and analyzing the status of water quality monitoringinstrument at home and abroad, this paper determined the overall improvement to theembedded software system, aimed at the problems existing in the control and dataprocessing software system of the laboratory preliminary-developed model.②After deeply analyzed the problems existing in the embedded structure andcontrol system of the instrument, based on the integrated control program with ARM asthe core processor, this paper studied systematically the embedded control, testingprocess and data acquisition and processing.③According to the needs of embedded motherboards, the author built embeddedLinux platform, created and transplanted the Uboot, Linux kernel and file system, anddesigned the appropriate control driver module based on the embedded platform.④The author designed the control and data process of the instrument, completedthe procedures design of zero setting, blank testing, standard curve building, sampletesting and instrumentation POST module, and optimized the database of the application software and its graphical user interface.⑤The author completed the functional tests of the embedded platform, eachcontrol driver module and each application software module. On this basis, tested andanalyzed the performance of the instrument.
