Project Management For Hard Disk Drive

The thesis is the project management for hard diskdrives in reliability engineering, it focus on the problems that thecompany suffers and provide packages of solutions. It gives themethods of project management in the field of reliability for harddisk drives, including Critical Path Method, Project ScheduleManagement, Earned Value Method and so on.After using thosemethods, the time and cost is under control for our company. And itis evaluated that10.11%of the cost is cut off compared with oldmethod of the company and makes our work efficient.The methodsto reliability improvement in hard disk drives are also studied, andmathematic modeling is set up by using Higher Mathematics andStatistics For Management Science. Methods to improve reliabilityare figured out by discussing parameters in the model, e.g. α and λ.Failure Analysis is utilized along with the model to get the reliabilityimproved, which is achieved by reduce failure rate and failurecount.α and λ values are dedicated after cut in those methods. Itfinally confirms the methods and assesses the efficiency and makes the comparison. The thesis gives expression to the characteristics ofcommodity,practicability and scientificalness.
