Design reuse is an important way to improve the efficiency of enterprise engineering design. Thekey technologies which can realize design reuse related to the effective management of the designdrawings and rapid retrieval technology. The System of drawing management is designed anddeveloped according to the real needs of the drawing management and engineering design in thecompany of AustongRobot. That system provides a platform for the company to improve the level ofdrawing management and design reuse capabilities. This project comes from the TransformationProject of Jiangsu Province in2011-"high-speed robot intelligent packaging equipment R&D andindustrialization"(Project Number: BA2011106).First of all, the overall objective of the system is given. The architecture of the drawingmanagement system is built. According to the process of drawing management, a detailed systemfunction modules are determined and a system function flow chart are designed.On this basis, the drawing management model and user rights management model are introduced.The drawing management model including drawings information modeling, product structuremodeling and file relationship modeling.CBR technology is used in order to realize the rapid retrieval of drawings. Case model indicates,Case base maintenance strategy, Case retrieval algorithm are researched. Object-oriented method isused to represent the knowledge case. Rough Set theory is used in order to reduce the number of thecase attributes and the number of cases in the knowledge library. Case retrieval method and Similaritycalculation model are given based on the Hierarchical retrieval method and the nearest neighbormethod.The database of the drawings management system is designed based on the analysis of thedatabase system. Conceptual design, logical design and physical design are included. Then drawingsbrowsing technology, Ajax technology and Dynamic tree generation technology are researched.Application of these technologies to the development of the drawing management system, UserManagement, Product structure tree management, Task management, Design process management,Knowledge base management and retrieval are included. Those functions provide an effective meansfor robot production line drawings.
