| In the work of road maintenance, the pavement crack is one of the common road structuredamages; it not only affects road appearance, but more also influences driving safety andservice life of the road. In China, we mostly detect the cracks on the highway manually, it willbe affected by the effects of maintenance workers’ subjective consciousness, moreover thedetection efficiency is not high and the precision is not accurate. Pavement Crack DetectionTechnology which is based on digital image processing and machine vision technology, itbecome the inevitable trend of the development of pavement crack detection. This techniquecan be done quickly image processing and measuring of road surface..This paper is devoted to studies the method of road cracks three-dimensional datadetection which based on LabVIEW, completed the design of three-dimensional pavementcrack software: it studies the communication method of LabVIEW and Microsoft OfficeExcel, and detailed procedures and methods designed to take advantage of LabVIEW ActiveXtechnology to read data stored in the three-dimensional surface of the Excel spreadsheet.Studied LabVIEW and MATLAB mixed programming methods, including the use of dynamiclink library technology, the use of dynamic data exchange technology, the use of componentobject technology, the use of ActiveX technology, analyze their strengths and weaknesses. Wechose MATLAB Script function to achieve LabVIEW and MATLAB communication, and weuse the powerful MATLAB math ability to have completed the transformation of crackthree-dimensional data into the two-dimensional data. Using IMAQ VISION tools, we havecompleted the design of image processing and machine vision module. Image processingmodule can complete the basic image processing functions, including smoothing filter, Autothreshold segmentation and morphological processing. Visual detection module width can bedone detecting and calculating the depth of the crack length. We studied the LabVIEW toaccess the database and report printing methods, completed the design of the database reportmodule.Crack measurement result by the image processing and the geometric parameters can beobtained, the system can quickly complete the road image processing tasks and geometric measurement tasks, the image processing effect is satisfactory, have higher measurementaccuracy and good stability. |
