With the rapid development of Internet, more and more information technologyequipment are introduced to the process of modern manufacturing, which improvesthe production efficiency, and enterprise managers are able to get information aboutproduction status through monitoring software or systems. However, with theexpansion of production scale, the complexity of monitoring information technologyequipment is alarmingly increased.Traditional monitoring systems rely on software customization, as one singlemonitoring software only support same equipment or equipment made by samevendor, which suffer from low reliability and scalability and lead to a problem thatresource of equipment can’t be utilized properly. Therefore, the research on utilizingexisting technical resources to build a high reliability and scalability monitoringsystem architecture will have tremendous significance.A Service-oriented multi-communication protocol monitoring systemarchitecture with remote access enabled is proposed in this paper, which based on theideas of Service-oriented architecture and data operation of DBMS. Informationtechnology equipment is abstracted as device entity and a runtime mapping devicecalled device object instance is proposed, which is the core object of the proposedarchitecture. Three aspects of device object instance are described and defined. Theunified description rules are defined to describe the device object instances; Userinterfaces are designed to specify operations on device object instances; Protocoladapters are designed and described to manage device object instances. Sync moduleis proposed to provide synchronization between local and remote monitoringservices. The proposed architecture brings the focus from coding to componentassembly and implementation, which leads to optimize enterprise resources.A monitoring system that supports Zigbee protocol equipment is proposed anddescribed in details which cover all main components in the system. The proposedsystem is introduced into actual production process, which proves the efficiency ofdevelopment and the reliability and scalability of the system.
