| The traditional image acquisition and transmission systems are mostly designed on PC platform, using the analog video monitoring technology, and utilize the cable transmission in data transmission. This increases the size and power consumption of the system, at the same time limits the application scope of the system. The analog video monitoring system based on the coaxial cable is high-priced, complex structure, poor stability; and digital monitoring system is still using the method of communication cable to transmit datas, leading to its disadvantages of large size, high-power consumption, precious price, difficulty in transformation of the circuit. The video monitoring system based on the embedded network can avoid above shortcomings, to a certain extent, reduce the cost of monitoring and control system, improve the network flexibility, scalability, security, which make its more convenient when using, and have been more and more widely used in security, smart home and other places. Therefore, the exploitation of the embedded video monitoring system, especially systems with the function of network transmission will have a broad application prospects.The software and hardware system of the video monitoring system based on ARM-Linux embedded platform is studied and designed in this paper, at the same time this paper complets the customization and development of the embedded Linux operating system on S3C2440platform, designs a embedded network video monitoring system which has the functions of network transmission and remote monitoring. Make use of TQ2440development board which has ARM920T S3C2440chip for kernel, combined with the embedded Linux operating system, this paper studies the implementation process of the drivers of OV9650CMOS camera chip and Ralink Rt2870Wireless LAN Card, designs the modules of video acquisition, wireless transmission and embedded Web server. The embedded Web server is designed to connect and establish a connection to the remote device through Wireless LAN, and extracts the datas from the NAND FLASH and returns it to the client. Ralink Rt2870Wireless LAN Card is used to send the images with the help of the IEEE802.11g Wireless LAN technology. The users can access control system through the Internet, thus realize the aim of distant monitoring.This system integrates various technologies of image acquisition, network communication, and implements organic combination of three frontier fields including embedded technology, Ethernet network and video monitoring. The system has the characteristics of simple wiring, elevated integration, lofty reliability, low power consumption, despicable cost, small volume, decent mobility, pleasant stability, easy installation, flexible use, etc., can be applied in diverse field of unattended or need to be distant monitored, such as banks, supermarkets, video conference, intelligent community monitoring, faraway education field, and varied industrial sites, etc. |
