Nowadays,testing weapon equipment through virtual test has become anefficient,economical,safe and scientific way.The integrity and credibility of virtualnatural environment,which is important for supporting virtual test,have directimpact on the fidelity of test result.The purpose of this thesis is to manage themassive environmental data,and synthesize an complex synthetic environment forsupporting virtual test.This project is helpful to improve the accuracy of virtual testand promote the application of virtual to a new level forward.As an essential part of synthetic natural environment,atmospheric environmentis also the foundation of virtual environment database development.A method toconstruct virtual atmospheric environment based on MM5and SEDRIS waspresented in this thesis.Based on theoretical analysis of MM5,this thesis studiedthe operation of MM5.This project developed a virtual atmosphere data generationsoftware to process the complex environmental datas according to the needs ofvirtual test,which were obtained from MM5including temperature, humidity, windand pressure fields,then atmospheric database that meets SEDRIS specificationswas produced.Standardization of environment data ensures the authoritative and completerepresentation as same as universal and unambiguous interaction of environmentdata,which is the key of environment datas’ credibility.In this thesis,SEDRIS isused as a support technology.Based on the analysis of environment datascharacteristics and virtual test needs, terrain, atmospheric and space environmentdata models were designed according DRM which is the core mechanism ofSEDRIS,and the method of generation, storage, modification and sharing forenvironmental data was realized through calling API interface of SEDRIS.To meetthe different data resolution needs of different virtual test, multi-resolutionprocessing was studied.Based on the research above and combined with standard environmentaldatabases of terrain and space built by the laboratory team,a virtual environmentaldata management sofrware was developed for managing the massive and diversifiedenvironmental datas efficiently and conveniently.And a virtual environmental data synthesis sofrware was developed for fusing environmental data to a syntheticenvironment for supporting virtual test.Object-oriented methodology was used inthe development of every software in this thesis, and UML language was used todescribe the requirements analysis,static models and dynamic models design. Thesesoftwares were finally completed in VisualStudioThe test rerults of virtual atmospheric environmental data generation softwareand virtual environmental data management sofrware show that each of thesoftwares realized the scheduled functions.
