Radar emitter signal recognition is an important part of the target recognitiontechnology. As the modern electronic warfare becoming more and more intense, thecomplex radar emitter systems increasing rapidly and gradually become the dominance, andthe complex signal forms have made the traditional identification methods ineffective. Allthese put forward to the higher requirements of the identification of radar signals. Therefore,it is one of the most important technical problems in the current radar signal recognitionprocess to identify the emitter signals quickly and accurately in the complex systems. Theradar emitter signal recognition has entered the stage of intra-pulse characteristic analysis.This paper studies the existing methods to extract the intra-pulse modulation characteristics,then makes the simulation of the instantaneous self-correlation method and phase differencemethod to extract intra-pulse characteristics and put it forward to the improved radar emitterrecognition model. Finally, this paper designs and realizes a real-time radar emitterrecognition software based on DSP.Firstly, this paper introduces the recognized basis of the radar emitter signals, which isbased on three aspects: the mathematical model of the radar signals, the basic characteristicsof the radar signals, and the characteristics analysis of the radar signals intra-pulsemodulation.Secondly, this studies the extraction methods of the radar emitter intra-pulsemodulation feature. The radar emitter intra-pulse modulation characteristics include theintentional modulation characteristics and the individual characteristics. This paperintroduces the extraction methods of these two characteristics, and makes the simulation ofthe instantaneous self-correlation method and phase difference method to extract intra-pulsecharacteristics, and puts it use to the radar emitter modulation model.Thirdly, this paper studies the existing radar emitter recognition models. The early andimproved radar emitter recognition models are analyzed, and this paper improves the radaremitter recognition model based on the existing radar emitter recognition models.Finally, this paper designs and realizes the real-time radar emitter recognition processbased on DSP.
