| Automobile is human-machine controlled and complex system, to ensure drivingsafely, the driver must control automobile accord to change of road condition all thetime. Thus, automobile simulation should be researched from human-vehicle-roadsystem level. Driving simulator is one of the most effective ways to realizehuman-machine interactive simulation. Currently, automobile manufacturers andscientific research institutions from home and abroad have done extensive research ondriving simulation technology.The most important feature of driving simulation is immersive and interactivity.Virtual Reality combines real-time computer graphics technology, Stereo displaytechnology, head and hand movement tracking technology, tactile feedback, soundsystem, etc, providing multidimensional information for users, such as visual sense,auditory sense and tactile sense, making users bepersonallyonthescene. Virtual Realitytechnology has been widely used in medical science, entertainment, military affairs,virtual design in industry, building design, etc. Moreover, the use of Virtual Reality indriving simulator makes simulation process with stronger immersive and interactivity.Considering human-machine interactive of driving, a researching driving simulatorsystem is built based on vehicle dynamics and NI real-time simulation platform in thispaper. And applying this system, build math model and analyze fuel consume economicfor a hybrid electrical vehicle (HEV). Mainly complete the following works in thispaper.①According to overseas and domestic research status of driving simulation andexperimental condition, system design and performance requirements have beendetermined,②A visual simulationsoftware of driving simulation has been built through gameengine and3D modeling software, and observed through Head Mounted Display (HMD)Oculus Rift imported in this project, realizes two modes of observing, ordinary displayand HMD display.③The overall architecture of NI real-time measurement and control system,andfunction of each subsystem have been introduced,then A driving simulation system hasbeen built through NI real-time system and driving simulator input equipments,including NI PXIe8108real-time controller, PXI7842R DAQ card, BETOP C432Plus `game input equipment, ensuring real-time of simulation process.④Vehicle dynamics model has been built through NI LabVIEW, combined withvisual display system through database, realizes data interactive between real-timesimulation process and3D visual display.⑤System integration, a length of road from virtual proving ground has beenselected to test, and simulation data has been obtained, results between test withordinary displayer and test with HMD has been compared.Through the research works above, human manipulations are import to simulationprocess, realize human-in-the-loop interactive simulation, and provide a safe, reliablehuman-automobile coordinate control simulation environment for human-automobilesystem research and simulation under Extreme working conditions. |
