Live firing is the most common military training course, and scoring of shootingis an important part of the training.The traditional manual target scoring has lowefficiency and poor security, affecting the firing training effect directly.With theadvances in information technology, automatic target scoring systems based on differenttechnologies have also been developed.The automatic target scoring system based onimage processing technology has been more and more widely used,with the advantagesof high precision, low cost etc.Taking the chest silhouette in the outdoor environment asthe study object,this thesis presented an automatic target scoring system based on imageprocessing technique.The study includes chest silhouette recognition, the initialinformation extraction including correctioncoefficient,target ring circle andradius,realization of the image algorithm about bullet holes rapid detection andrecognition, total design and realization of the system.Firstly,this thesis determines the overall design scheme and expounds the workingprinciple of the system based on the analysis of requirements.Then this thesis makes adeep research on the key algorithms involved in the system.Used local Ostu algorithmto division image.Generally identified the chest silhouette based on its loop linecharacteristics.Then identified it from complex background by morphological filteringand region labeling process,recorded the effective shooting area at the same time. Usethe coordinate of reference point that automatic scanned and quadratic polynomial tocalculate the correction coefficient. Using the center circle and the least square methodcalculated the target center and the target ring radius. By the inter-frame differencemethod to process two adjacent frames.Using the rapid detection,second detection andpeak value judgment methods designed in this thesis to check if there are new bulletholes. Using the dynamic threshold segmentation,morphological filtering, regionlabeling to process the difference image to extract the suspected bulletarea. Distinguishthe bullet holes and interference region by calculating the eigenvalue of each region.Design an actual link extraction method, through the adjacent relationship between thetheory and the actual link.Then calculate the impact ring value and time zone. Finallydevelop fully functional automatic target reporting system. To achieve real-time targetimage acquisition, display, processing, score and report the, display the bullet holesposition and the results, input target position information and firing staff identity information and other functions.By testing,the system has strong adaptability to complicated outdoor shootingenvironment.And target scoring process has high automatically degree.The detectionmethod is fast,avoids the omission and miscalculationeffectively. The system can meetthe requirements of the military shooting range for automatic target reporting andothers.
