With the ending of the3GPP LTE standard setting, the work focuses to LTE-Advanced. LTE isthe Long Term Evolution of the UMTS. The physical layer of LTE is based on OFDM and MIMO. Asthe evolution version of LTE, which targets for a higher system throughput and spectral efficiencythan LTE. Coordinated Multi-Point in LTE-A is a effective inter-cell coordination technique. Byemploying joint processing or coordinated scheduling among multiple cells, the interference signalsamong them are turned into useful ones and the adjacent cell interference could be depressed.Meanwhile, the received signal quality of cell edge users is improved. Thus cell edge throughout andaverage cell throughout are both enhanced. The paper mainly focuses on JP transmission of CoMP indownlink, and the main contribution is shown as follow:(1) According to the evaluation guildences of IMT-Advanced, the LTE-A system simulationplatform is modeled and implemented. According to the requirement in system performance of3GPP,system level simulation platform is presented. Several significant parameters are analyzed in detail, allof those lays the foundation for the algorithm analysis and simulation experiment of the full text.(2) Precoding algorithms of CoMP transmission system are mainly studies. Common precodingalgorithms are simulated and analysed, including three precoding methods(ZFBF, MMSE and SLNR).Based on this, improved precoding algorithms are proposed and used in JP-CoMP-MU-MIMO systemwith theoretical analysis and performance simulation.(3) Studies user scheduling in downlink of CoMP transmission system, analyses the applicationin JP-CoMP-SU-MIMO and JP-CoMP-MU-MIMO, including three scheduling algorithms(ZFBF,MMSE and SLNR), then proposes improved scheduling algorithm used in JP-CoMP-MU-MIMObased on PF and carries on theoretical analysis and performance simulation comparison.
