The linear force motor is a key component of direct drive servo-valvesystem, it converts electric signal into mechanical movement directly. Theconversion efficiency and accuracy are closely related to the performance of thelinear force motor, so the performance test of the force motor is studied in thispaper.First of all, for obtaining the performance transfer function of the forcemotor, the mathematical model of linear force motor is established, and thus theunload displacement characteristic equation of the force motor is acquired. Basedon the physical model and the parameters of a type of force motor the specificform of the force motor output functions are obtained. And the necessarytheoretical prerequisite is provided by the output functions for the designing ofsoftware and hardware of the system and experiments.Then, according to the requirements of the test system, a comprehensiveperformance test system of the force motor is developed. The selection,installation and calibration of all sensors used in the system are studied. Themechanical fixture structure, the platform and the control cabinet of the testsystem are designed, assembled and debugged. The design and built of the circuitare developed. The software of the test system is designed by Labview. Thesoftware realizes the signal acquisition, data processing, curve printing andstorage functions. The test system provides the experimental platform for theperformance testing of the force motor.Finally, in order to verifying the test accuracy of the test system, theperformance test experiments of the force motor are made on the platform. Theexperimental results show that the performance test system of the force motor isstable, reliable and of high testing precision, automation and convenientoperation. The test system can meet the design requirements.
