In the stereo video transmission system, the user focused on the terminal’s perception qualityof the stereo video. As the amount of stereo video data is very huge, due to insufficient bandwidth,transmission delay and delay jitter during the video stream transmission process, quality ofterminal perception will be reduced, so the reliability transmission of the stereo video has attractedextensive attention. The current transmission technology pay more attention to the QoS (Qualityof Service) of the network, without considering video characteristics. To cure the aboveproblems, we carry out research on QoE oriented technologines of stereo video error control in thisthesis.First, analyses the traditional framework of stereo video transmission system, advances atheory of stereo video transmission system frame based on QoE (Quality of Experience). Which isthe most important improvement from the frame is stereo video coding, QoE service qualitymapping module and error control based on QoE. QoE service quality mapping module includesboth stereo video transmission distortion model and frame importance model of stereo video basedon content-aware, could achieve the mapping of QoS service to the QoE perceived. Error controlbased on QoE could protect the coding bitstream, improvethe quality ofstereo video perception.Second, we take into account the relationship between network transmission and stereoscopicvideo, the temporal correlation and spatial correlation of stereo video sequences, channelparameters, as well as terminal error concealment technology, therefore, we put forward a frame-level stereoscopic video transmission distortion model at the encoder. Experiment by stereoscopicvideo sequences with different motion intensity and disparity in different network conditions.When MSE represents transmission distortion, average distortion error4.16%; When PSNRrepresents transmission distortion, average distortion error0.93%, encoder can accurately estimatethetransmission distortion ofstereoscopic video.Third, a frame importance model of stereo video based on content-aware is proposed byanalyzing the relationship between the content differences of stereo video and content-aware, alsoaccording to the spatial-temporal correlation and error propagation characteristics of stereo video.Simulation results demonstrate that this model apply to stereo video sequences with differentmotion and disparity, it can estimate the importance of every frame to the terminal aware at the encoder, to provide similar quantitative analysis for QoE evaluation, and provides the theoreticalfoundation for the unequalerror protection.Finally, on the basis of stereo video frame importance, a QoE optimization algorithm forunequal error protection is proposed. The algorithm according to the conclusion of QoS service tothe QoE perceived mapping, divides the stereo video stream into different grades, andcorresponding proportion of redundant data by the importance of coding for different framesallocation. On the premise of improving the quality of the stereo video QoE try to reduce thenetwork burden.
