There are some limitations of the traditional signal detecting methods, so it is very difficult tomake the signal to noise ratio(SNR) threshold further lower. The weak signal detection based onchaos theory make up for the defects and achieve very low signal to noise ratio, improves thedetection accuracy.The paper carry out study for this.The paper design weak signal detection systembased on studying on chaos theory. Through the design of system modeling, simulation, thepractical circuit,we verify the effectiveness of chaos theory for weak signal detection.We establish the model of Lorenz system and make a detailed analysis based on the researchof the basic characteristic of chaos. The double parameters control chaos method can make thesystem be controlled in the excepted periodic orbit. This method avoids the calculation of excitationsignal amplitude accurately, improve work efficiency, and has strong controllability. According tothe special chaotic system for parameter sensitivity and immune to the noise characteristics,webuild the weak signal detection model based on Lorenz system by using controlling chaos methodof double parameters.It is verified that the system has characteristic that could detect low frequencyweak periodic signal.Through the simulation experiment of concrete, the weak signal detection hasbeen successfully realized and achieve the low SNR. It indicates that the class of weak signaldetection is feasible. In view of the weak signal detection of chaotic system still remain in thesimulation situation, we build an experimental circuit chaos detection for the effective applicationof the verification of chaotic detection method. According to the analysis of circuit characteristics,we organize implementation principle of weak signal detection and use modular design. we useDSP digital signal processing technology to generate the periodic excitation signal whose amplitudeand frequency could be flexible controlled. Then we use the operational amplifier and multiplierand a resistor capacitor components to make the actual detection circuit.After Completing actualcircuit structures of weak signal detection based on chaos,we detect weak signal through theoscilloscope to judge obviously change of phase trajectory.The paper’s innovation process lies in proposing the double parameter control method to controlchaos.The method has been applied to the weak signal detection based on the similar Lorenz system.Matlab simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.We analyse the presentsituation of which the detection of weak signal chaotic system have not fully applied in the case ofthe specific circuit design. This paper make a specific circuit based on the similar Lorenz chaoticdetection system. The experimental results and theoretical analysis to achieve consistency.Weprovide a detection device to the weak signal detection in the practical engineering applicationwhich has a good application prospect. It is a meaningful exploration for weak signal detection.
