The paper is mainly aiming to the design, manufacture, measurement and other corresponding research work of40m antenna Single Star precise Observation system in Chinese Academy of Sciences.Time service center, and discussion of key technologies in designing&manufacturing as well. The following items are detailed in this paper:1. With comparing with similar antenna structure in domestic and comprehensive analysis, apply the software of ANSYS to review the several solution models, and then determine the final overall solution of antenna structure system.2. Antenna reflector and its pedestal are the most important parts. In which, the stiffness and drive capability directly affects the performance of whole system. The design fundamentals are proposed as per the stiffness requirement which applies the main reflector an astomosis and pre-alignment, to discuss the situation:how to reduce the antenna weight, and in this case, it still can meet the requirement of accuracy. The key structure parts have been verified as well.3. The lightweight and miniaturization of antenna is the realistic engineering requirement. In the experience of former antenna project in domestic, high-strength steel and aluminum alloy are applied, but, for the application of titanium alloy and advanced composite material, the engineering practice is not too much. The paper concludes and summarizes the general materials of antenna used before, and some beneficial attempt is made in antenna backup thermal insulation material.4. The wind, snow, earthquake and variation of temperature may result in antenna structure deformation and strain. The paper preliminarily states how to quantitatively analyze the effect between above elements and antenna accuracy, and how to partially eliminate these effects.5. The antenna with much larger aperture, much higher frequency cannot be designed and manufactured without Precise Engineering Measurement technology. With fusing the antenna technology and Precise Engineering Measurement technology, a new field had been explored-Antenna Measurement Technology. Based on the engineering practice, the paper is to discuss the current developing status of Antenna Measurement Technology.
