With the development of modern science and technology, price of graphics hardwarebecomes cheaper. Geometric modeling software becomes more popular.3D model has beenmore applied in different ways. Digital technology has become a new generation of media,while the3D model is a representative technique of digital geometry.Widely available on the Internet today, the3D model technology is facing new problems.Reusing of the prior model can improve the work efficiency. Thus,3D model retrievaltechniques have been explored and progress. Represent of3D models, as the basis of thistechnique, are studied by quite a lot of Experts and scholars. The related studies at home andabroad are working at3D models describing, feature extraction, and made a lot of research insolving practical problems.Based on the background of the popularization of3D technology, researching therelevant research at home and abroad are described by3D model, Aiming at the limitation ofshape analysis method, This paper proposes a method of volume to describe3D models. Themethod uses Ray-shooting to compute volume of each vertex, built the volume view andanalysis of the surface and internal shape of3D models. The experimental results show that,method of3D model visualization based on the volume view can describe the local and globalfeature of3D model, and can lay the foundation of shape analysis and matching.According to the geometrical information of vertices in the model, calculate the mappingpoint correspondence to vertex on the mesh. Bashed on the value of negative normal vectors,map vertex of the mesh to points inside the model(the mapping vertex).Cumulative length oflines between the mapping vertex and the3D model, and optimize it.The method overcomes the noise sensitivity of surface geometric information,makevolume features within the model more stability and improved the accuracy of shape analysisgreatly.
