The Location And Character Recognition Of The License Plate

This paper which is about of the digital image processing mainly studies the licence plates.Our research includes image model,image noise and the process of denosing,image enhancement,image binarization of license plate which contains the image pretreatment process. And then the license plate localization mainly uses morphology processing to implement.The morphology is the basis of corrosion, expansion and closure operation. Gray image of opening operation can identify the target and a small amount of the target area. we also could determine the extent of the target area which is located.The license plate character recognition mainly discusses for character recognition which based on template matching and an improved template matching character recognition. We also discuss character recognition methods which based on BP neural network and an improved BP neural network.
