With the rapid development of mobile communication technology, the market puts forward higher and higher requirements for mobile terminals. The performance of antenna, as an important part of a mobile phone, directly affects the overall performance and appearance of the design for mobile phone. The design of cellphone antenna, which requires miniaturization, multi-band, broadband, is becoming the hotspots and difficulties. Aimed at the hot-point and growing trend of mobile phone antenna, this paper mainly discusses the miniaturization, multi-band for mobile phone antenna, on the basis of built-in antenna-PIFA antenna that is the current mainstream antenna of mobile phones, and designs several mobile phone built-in antennas which is miniaturization, multi-band used the technology of meandering and folding.This paper introduces different kinds of antennas for mobile phone. PIFA antenna, with the advantages of small size, easy to set of array, easy to produce and low SAR values, has widely used as built-in antennas in mobile phone. Therefore, it is also the main content in this paper. This paper, with the simulation software HFSS, repeatedly adjustment and optimization for many times, has finally designed the three kinds of cell phone PIFA antennas with small and multi-band, which include two dual-band and a tri-band (GSM/DCS/ISM) PIFA antennas. After analysis and comparison on several methods of miniaturization and multi-band design for antennas, Dual-band (GSM/DCS) and miniaturization design are realized by using the double L-shaped slots;Dual-band (GSM/ISM) design is realized by the method of combining the U-shaped slot and folding implement; Tri-band(GSM/DCS/ISM)design is designed with the combination of double U-shaped slots and folding; Compared with other design methods, the above method has the advantages of simple design, easier implementation, and it is more and more applied in the design of mobile phone built-in antennas. The three antennas meet the requirements of the performance of the antenna and enjoy very good usage prospects by simulation and optimization.Finally, the paper summarizes the work and prospects, and points out the existence of deficiencies and further improvement in the papers.
