With the increasingly rapid development of electronic technology, there are more andmore electronic equipment within the family, the information exchange betweenelectronic devices also becomes much more important. Thus, a variety of electronicdevices integrated in a collaborative environment made of interconnected multi-levelunified network services platform came into being, The feature of open service platformis it`s openness. No matter what type the device is, they can connect into the platform andcommunication with other devices as long as they meet the standards of thecorresponding middleware. Internally it can discover and control the device, externally itcan release the function of the device, making the family’s internal resources can beshared and managed easily.Firstly, the popular standards of the open service platform are introduced. For theUPnP protocol, the research focuses on the basic definition, work processes, equipmentagreement and so on. For OSGi service framework, the research focuses on the systemarchitecture, logical framework and other things. Putting forward the overall architectureof the open service platform based on OSGi after study of the basic theory, this isfoundation of the following real implementation.Then use Universal Modeling Language (UML) to model describe the control systemwhich is the most critical modules of the open service platform based on OSGi, Use ofobject-oriented visual modeling language UML analysis control system of the openservice platform based on OSGi with static modeling and dynamic modeling. Staticmodeling`s research its use cases, components, configuration, and Dynamic modelingresearch its state, sequence, activities. After the UML modeling on control system ofopen service platform based on OSGi, achieve the software design according to itsfeatures architecture and with the use of Java version of the UPnP protocol stack Clinklibrary developed the software application.Finally, control system of open service platform based on OSGi must be tested itsfunction work with OSGi framework, UPnP devices and Web server module which arethe three main modules of the open service platform based on OSGi. Then the basicdesign goals are realized. This open service platform based on OSGi has high practicalvalue for the future development of similar projects with some guidance and referencevalue.
