Information Dissemination Channels Of "Multi-directional Control" Mode Analysis-analysis Of "Gatekeeper" Theory

As a kind of widely used theory,“Gatekeeper" theory has been well known in thefield of mass communication, but since the theory was introduced into China,however, fewer people has been studding on the scope of it. Based on theinvestigation of C village in a southern province and the interview to a websitereporter week-long tracking data analysis, phenomenon named “two waygatekeeping”,“information disparity”, and the “multidirectional gatekeeping” werediscovered. According to the “two way gatekeeping” phenomenon, the author putsforward hypothesis, if the message has conflict with the interests of the gatekeeperswhen he/she passing information, he/she will modify information according to theirown interests, so that the information in the spread of before and after transmissionproduce “information disparity”. Vision inspired by this phenomenon, from a broadersocial perspective, found “multidirectional gatekeeping”phenomenon widely exist inChina’s interpersonal, and put forward the assumption that everyone in society in theinterests’ driven will control the information from all directions of the filter, we callthis phenomenon “multidirectional gatekeeping”. On the basis of this phenomenonthe author constructed the “gatekeepers” garment pattern. The article proves theexistence of the “two way gatekeeping” phenomenon and the phenomenon of“multidirectional gatekeeping”, through C village survey and a website reporter theinterview of data and common phenomenon existing in reality.This is the gatekeeper theory combined with China’s national conditions, is abold interpretation of the human society to China. The innovation of the article isspread from multiple angles to explore the “gatekeeper” theory, put forward the“two-way gatekeeping”,“information disparity” as well as the innovation of theconcept of “multidirectional gatekeeping”, to some extent this is the theory ofgatekeeper is rich and new exploration, is an extension of the theory of “gatekeeper”in China.
