With the development of science and technology, supermarket guiding robot has beenrelated with the life of people closely and been widely applied to many aspects, such as theeconomic and life, played an important role in shopping malls, supermarkets and othershopping sites. Combining speech recognition and text comprehension, the intelligent level ofthe supermarket guiding robot can effectively be improved.This paper firstly describes the technical characteristics of the Sphinx voice recognition,based on the careful analysis of speech recognition system, build a kind of embedded speechrecognition system with Sphinx. Then, through research and analysis of the CBR technology,designs a supermarket guiding robot based on speech recognition and text understanding. Toimprove the intelligence of the robot, using text comprehension based on CBR. In order toimprove the accuracy of case retrieval, using the improved Chinese text similarity algorithmbased on vector space word order in case retrieval, combined with the hierarchical searchalgorithm to complete real-time improvement. Finally, to test the performance of system,using the large supermarket commodity information and simulating the supermarket, speechrecognition rate, accuracy of case retrieval and function of system were tested, theexperimental results show that the system runs well and meet the needs of the supermarketshopping, has a certain practicality and feasibility.
