In modern machinery manufacturing industry, the level of demand constantly improve the level of modernization and marketization, CNC machining because of high precision, high efficiency, high degree of automation, gradually becoming the mainstream trend of machining. Important parameters testing and debugging work become machine tool processing one of the important processes of preparation work before production, which is the function of cutting tool presetter, it directly affects the machining quality and efficiency.This paper focus on the SECA-EC knife adjustable instrument of knife automated image capture, mainly divided into two aspects, First to the mechanical structure design, stress analysis and autom atic control research. In order to meet different kinds of cutting tools measurement, designed improv ement for knife tuning meter optical measurement system Y direction, Allows the agency to automa tically feed knife adjustable instrument Y direction, achieve the goal of active focus. Beam with the INVENTOR of the mechanism and modeling, stress analysis and structure optimization, reduce the beams overall load. Improve the accuracy of measurement. Based on the research of the automatic control system, the establishment of reasonable control logic relation, and using the PLC programm ing for the controller; Second to capture the image edge detection were analyzed. Combined with a utofocus technology and sub-pixel image edge processing technology, image grey value to be measu red and gradient value computation. Through three kinds of algorithms for edge detection operation rate and precision compared to determine a suitable operation method of this topic research, combin ed with the algorithm using MATLAB generated image grey value and gradient value curve, select the appropriate pixels to measure its location.Finally, combined the two aspects of research structures, comply with the principle of the SEC A-EC automatic measurement mechanism test platform, integrated measure existing tool size, to achi eve automatic positioning measurement tool point coordinates, the purpose of being measured and c ompared with the actual measurement data on the knife adjustment meter compares and analysis of error sources in all directions, and then make the corresponding to the actual error compensation sc heme, in order to improve the accuracy of measurement of reduce error.
