Eigenstructure assignment is a method that not only configures the polesassignment but also configures the multiple numbers and their correspondingeigenvectors. Its significance lies in providing all the degrees of freedom of thesystem design, so that it can be used as a parametric method for system design. Thisarticle mainly makes a research from the following several aspects:Firstly, the different mode of states can be obtained by the real Jordan standardform of the matrix and the selection of the initial value of the system. Then, theparametrization of the real eigenstructure assignment is given for the state feedbacksuch that the system eigenvalues are real or contain complex roots. Moreover, underthe given initial value, the desired properties of states or outputs of the system can beobtained by adjusting the parameters of the eigenvector matrix and the new inputs.Secondly, this article discusses the method how to control system states andoutputs by eigenstructure assignment based on output feedback, and then thecondition that output feedback has a solution is also discussed. At the same time, asthe dynamic feedback is equivalent to the output of the augmented feedback, thispaper studies the impact to the poles and eigenstructure assignment of the ordernumber of the dynamic compensator of the system.Then, this article studies the condition which cannot get accurate expectationaldynamic response based on eigenstructure assignment by state feedback. It is given anoptimization index, and give satisfactory dynamic output through the selection offeature vector parameters and initial value selection.Finally, the method that output tracking of step inputs is studied, and the resultsare given.
