In recent years, the government is re-positioning the public transport industry,transportation industry will become the embodiment of one of the important publicwelfare government public service. On the basis of this, the transit system around thecountry has been widely applied with electronic intelligent scheduling dispatchingsystem, IC card consumer charging system and more. Through the use of GPStechnology, WebGIS technology, IC card technology and network communicationtechnology, it has been possible to achieve the computer controlled bus dispatchingoperation objective. Making full use of the existing intelligent scheduling dispatchingsystem to further improve the efficiency of bus operation, as well as improving thepublic transport industry’s service quality, are some of the main problems faced by theelectronic bus system.With the rapid development of Internet, the Internet of things, the rise in mobilelocation technology such as GPS, compass, CLOUD services, wirelesscommunication, and mobile terminal equipment, these applications has graduallyspread to every aspect of social life. These techniques widely collect information suchas bus line site static and real-time vehicle dynamic position. After a comprehensivetreatment of the information, and distributed through a variety of methods topassengers, a reasonable guide for residents to plan their travel is supported with thistechnology.The thesis aims at the current problems such as the lack of city bus real-timeoperation information, the single, and narrow distribution of bus lines and publictraffic information, to release the design and implementation of the integrated use ofmobile positioning technology,3G communication technology, the cloud servicetechnology, GIS technology and intelligent embedded technology, and hand machinereal-time transit query system. This solves the public transportation real timeinformation, improves the public transport service quality, and guides the public’stravel plans. This system is one of the most essential infrastructures in the city.This thesis discusses the research background of the real-time bus informationservice system, domestic and foreign research and development status and thenshowcases the significance of this research. It introduces the relevant technology of the system application, such as mobile positioning technology,3G wirelesscommunication technology, data processing technology, GIS geographic informationtechnology and intelligent mobile phone embedded technology. On this basis, thepaper provides a detailed description of the system requirements analysis, includingthe bus lines, the site, operation time, real-time vehicle location and status, stationinformation, transfer information and travel plans, the designs and the overall scheme,the logic of the system framework and function division. Furthermore, the thesisoffers solutions, proposals which describe the core module of the system’s realizationprocess. Finally, the paper shows the results of the system’s testing application,deployment, and operation.The real-time bus information service system proposed in this paper has been putinto use and achieved its initial results. It has improved the utilization of publicresources, capacity, and passenger travel time. Consequently it has effectivelyalleviated traffic pressure, and improved the city public transportation’s servicequality.
