| Because of its unique geographical advantages and climaticcharacteristics, the development of forestry economic in downstream regionof Guizhou Qingshui river once prosperity in history. Disputes of contractdocuments surrounding these trees also gradually increased, andaccordingly produced a large number of papers, books and officialdocument record of social economic activities. These files remain in whatis now Jinping Documentary Archives. Jinping Documentary Archiveswitnessed people’s life and their living conditions of Miao and Dong inGuizhou since the15th century, reflected the allocation process of forestryresources in Qingshui river basin, displayed the inheritance and change ofsocial culture in minority areas in southwest of China. With the rich valueof academic, historical, cultural and economic, Jinping DocumentaryArchives is a rare cultural wealth for the science of economics, law, history,sociology, archives, and so on.In recent years, with the attention to Jinping Documentary Archivesfrom all walks of life, government departments and academics pay attention to development and utilization of this archives gradually, and thework of Jinping Documentary Archives has obtained a certain achievement.Nevertheless, compared with the actual development situation of thisarchives, there are still many problems in the work ofdevelopment and utilization. In this paper, through the research of JinpingDocumentary Archives and its development and utilization, we hope thatpeople have a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of JinpingDocumentary Archives. Then combined with the present situation ofachievements and problems of development and utilization, we need toanalyze the development and utilization of the current work with theperspective of archival science, put forward feasible advice andcountermeasures, and provide valuable advice for the next stage work ofJinping Documentary Archives.
