This thesis designs a thermal station of remote water quality monitoring systembased on embedded system、computer networks and. NET technology. This system isused for monitoring corrosion rate of the pipeline and equipment in order to reduce thedamage to the thermal system of circulating water equipment. The realization of thissystem has important practical significance for prolonging the service life of theequipment in thermal system, protecting environment and saving resources. Nowadays,pipeline network in thermal station is distributed widely and the thermal station is oftenbuilt in remote areas. It is unrealistic to design a national or regional water qualitymonitoring system for thermal stations based on based on traditional fieldbus. Anothermonitoring system uses internet as communication mode, but the network line often can’tcover the remote areas, so this method can’t fundamentally solve the problem. This paperproposes a new method that combine the most extensive coverage GSM/GPRS networkwhich operated by CMCC and Internet network as communication method between datacenter and terminals. Taking advantage of the wide coverage of the GSM/GPRS networkoperated by CMCC, this method can solve the problem which the above two methodscan’t.This paper describes the design of the thermal station remote water qualitymonitoring system and the content can be divided into two parts——the design ofwireless remote monitoring terminal based on ARM&WinCE and the design of datacenter.The design of wireless remote monitoring terminal includes hardware integrationand software implementation. The hardware of this terminal consist of water qualitytesting instruments、tiny6410and GPRS module. Water quality testing instruments connettiny6410via485filedbus and they have the functions of parameter detection, parametercontrol, and data communications. Tiny6410connects to GPRS module viaRS232/RS485module. Terminal monitoring software obtains water quality data andcontrol the working condition of water quality testing instruments through MODBUSprotocol. Sqlite database is necessary in order to store and query water quality data andother related records. Finally, terminal monitoring software should to connect to datacenter through GPRS network in order to realize the data synchronization and related control instructions between terminal and data center. In order to ensure that the dataistransfered correctly,designing a communication protocol is necessary.The design of data center includes communication program and monitoring software.Communication program completes the data communication between wireless remotemonitoring terminal and data center. Monitoring software is designed based on B/Sarchitecture and ASP.NETplatform. Users can log in the monitoring center and controlworking status of the remote monitoring terminals.System operation results show that the design of this system is reasonable and theinterface is very friendly and the solution to this problem is feasible.
