In recent years, with the fast develop of smart phone, Augmented Reality technologyhas changed its devlopment from personal computer to smart phone. Smart phones areequipped with high power CPU, camera, sensing devices and GPS, which provide aplatform for mobile augmented reality. Virtual texual informations are overlaid on reality, two kinds of informations mixed so that users could get informations from environmentnearby.Meanwhile, mobile augmented reality has a long way to go. Fisrt, most augmentedreality browsers are based on GPS and sensers. GPS and sensors is not accurate enough, which leads to the wrong overlaid of augmented reality textuals on display. Second, as thesmall field of angle of camera on smart phone, users must keep on holding to mobile phoneand rotate to get different POI data from around. Besides, interaction ways are too simple, users could only get data from browser, instead of join into a net with other users. To solve these problems, our work in this paper are as follows:1. We propose an accurate annotated AR browser application, which is mainly basedon matching image templates of POI (point of interests) to an online panorama generatedby users.2. To overcome the small angle of camera, we generates a360degree panorama on thefly, which is used for annotating anchor points and offline browsing. As a result, anaccurate annotated panorama is generated with visually enhancements to environment foroffline browsing. At last, our system allows users creating annotations in varies kind offormats including2D image, text and voices, and POIs were uploaded to a server for laterre-identification. As a result, POI information created by previous users are stored in cloudserver for later sharing with other users who will come to the location in near future.3. Based on these studies, we designed an accurate labeling browser based onaugmented reality panorama, which accomplishes panorama stitching, POI tagging,user-defined-POI interaction, network interaction, and other functions. User testing resultsshow that the system designed to achieve the desired goal.
