| With the development of medical technologies, plastic surgery becomes more easy tofulfill people’s desire of beauty, so more and more human go after plastic, especial forfacial plastic. Nevertheless, it is difficult to get perfect looks, because doctor’s skills arevery different, and it needs to animate the appearance of post-operation to get patientssatisfied and to plan the plastic surgery by doctor. In tradition,2D images are used toillustrate the effectiveness. In this paper,3D images are used to simulate post-operationappearance so that people could observe the3D images from several viewpoints.STLfile format is used in the animation of3D human face. In this paper, this format isread and displayed, and some interaction is also operated. As the animation of3D facemodel involves deformation, it is necessary to reconstruct topology in face model and topick out the area of interest from curve. The front surface made up of small triangularprimitives is selected in complex environment where are many curves in depth by usingray-casting technology. Subsequently, some experiments have been carried out to testify theeffectiveness of proposed methods. At last, Gaussian function is used to achieve thedeformation of region of interest to help doctors to plan the surgery of facial plastic and tosatisfy patients. |
