With the rapid development of computer technology and microscopic technology,micro image acquisition and processing technology obtained the rapid development andwide application. The conventional observation with human eye is likely to causeerroneous judgment because of the fatigue of the operator, and the image can not berecorded with the human eye. Although photographic techniques can satisfy therequirements of record, this record has no practical value for the filed of more strictdemand for real-time. In the non-destructive detection of composite material and metalmaterial, the conventional microscope image acquisition and processing system havenot satisfied people’s requirements. The traditional microscope is too far to finish themission in special environments such as high temperature, high pressure, high humidityand corrosive gas. The long working distance microscope with a long len overcomesthese drawbacks that traditional microscope can’t work under special circumstances. Incontrast with conventional microscope, long working distance microscope can not onlydo a static observation, but also do a dynamic observation. In this paper, based on thosetwo points,I designed a soft system of image acquisition and processing for longworking distance microscope.This system realized real-time image acquisition andprocessing for composite materials and metals. The main research is as follows:1. Introduce the research purpose of image acquisition and processing system forlong working distance microscope in detail and the design project of the whole system.2. Based on vc++software development platform,I designe a kind of movingtable with3D.This table can automatic control axis of X, Y and Z to move freely and tofocus. 3. The image acquisition card and long working distance microscope in the uppermachine realized the image collection, storage and display. The system completes thegeneral image processing software design.4. According to the characteristics of the image, the relative position betweenrelatively stable, this paper presents design and implement a tracking algorithm basedon region feature similarity of images.As the result shows, the effect of image acquisition and processing of this system issatisfactory. The interface of the control platform is very friendly. It is very easy tooperate and convenient to use. This provide a very perfect image processing platformfor technicists who research the destruction of metal materials by micro images.
