In recent years, with the development of new media, China has entered the era of micro-blog. Microblog has the immediacy, convenience, rapidity of information dissemination, and can create a strong public opinion field. The development of micro-blog has brought opportunities to the building of our government image, and had a new platform for it. Because of the characteristics of information propagation, the construction of the current government image has a big challenge. Making good use of microblog can help create a good image of the government building, on the contrary, if we don’t understand the microblog features and use unreasonably, which will damage the government image. In era of microblogging, how do our government build the image? How should we use microblog to shape the government image? Especially now we are more concerned about the status of city inspectors, many discordant law enforcement cases of the urban management officers are first exposed out through the microblog and form a strong opinion on it. In this situation, urban management officers how to use microblog to shape the government image is what we need to focus on, the urban management officers image building have a relatively large impact on the government image building. The above is the issues that we need to think about. This study is to try to research the government image building in microblog era from this perspective, especially the urban management department how to use microblog to shape the government image. The research on this topic can enrich the government’s image-building theory to some extent, and can also help the government better using the microblog platform to shape the image of the government in practice.To achieve the above purpose, we use a literature analysis, case analysis and content analysis. By finding the existing literature, we understand the existing research results and shortcomings. Specifically, the article discusses the following contents:First of all, we analyze the relevant concepts and theories. We discuss two aspects in this section, the first is theoretical Interpretation of government image, the second is the development of microblog in our country.Second, we analysis the effect of microblog in the image-building of the government by using Wuhan urban management blog an en example. We discuss three aspects in this part. The first is the general information of Wuhan urban management blog. In the second part, we analyze the communicating effect of Wuhan urban management blog from communication subject, communication contents, communication object. Then, we analyze the effect of shaping the image of the government in street vendor case of Wuhan urban management officers which exposure by microblog.Third, this part mainly discusses the construction and problem of government image in view of micro-blog. And to solve these problems, we try to find the root of these problems.Finally, we make some strategy selection for shaping the government image by using microblog. In the era of micro-blog, the first is changing our mind. Then, we should effectively manage the running of microblog. If microblog can really play its role, we can build a good image of the government.Through this research, we can obtain the following results. First, Microblog has its own unique advantages in building the government image, and our government ought to make good use of this advantage.
