As a service-oriented network, IoV (Internet of Vehicle) communicates vehicle to vehicle, vehicle to Infrastructure, vehicle to network, so that it can exchange information real time and serve people’s transportation. Currently, IoV is still in the preliminary of exploration, and new communication technology and value-added services of IoV are emerging, but the infrastructure of IoV is incomplete. In order to facilitate the research of communication and services in IoV, the paper presents a simulation environment of IoV which combines the traffic simulation and communication simulation.First, this paper analyzes the traffic simulation and network communication simulation. According to the characteristics of IoV and the advantages of traffic simulation and network communication simulation, this paper summarizes the demand, work scenes and hierarchical structure of IoV simulation platform. This paper focuses on the demand analysis of the management and scheduling module in IoV platform.Second, considering the demand of IoV simulation platform and the secondary development principle of TransModeler, this paper presents the overall structure, system simulation mechanism and internal and external communication interface of IoV simulation platform.Then, according to the demand of IoV simulation platform, this paper designs the overall class diagram, and since the research emphasis of the paper, it focuses on the research of management and scheduling module in IoV platform. It designs the object management module and communication scheduling module in detail, including class diagram, function description and flowchart of some important function. It also implements these modules. At the same time, it also introduces the test environment, and according to the basic demand, it also designs and executes the test cases to test the functions and verify the system’s availability.Finally, it summarizes the related work, points out the significance of this paper, and proposes future research directions.
