The paper is based on the practical project of a hospital which is under construction. The team researched the workflow of pathology department in hospital and effectively combined with HIS and PACS in order to provide the hospital with an system easy to use and solve the situation that the work is difficult to manage because of multiple business in hospital. The team focused on implementing specimen management business, transferring large file block problem and intelligent diagnose module. Also, the team sought to improve the efficiency of managing specimen and reflect the concept of pathology regionalization. Our team hopes to improve the stability and security of the system in order to make the market standardized and achieve work with no paper, high efficiency and intelligent assist diagnose function and completely change the situation that the workload is hard to evaluation and the specimens are messily managed. The project is developed with the C#language under the environment of VS2010.This paper describes a specific project which comes from hospital. Firstly, the paper study.NET framework and a variety of data models to select a satisfying structure which help improve the stability and security of the program; Secondly, on the basis of deeply understanding of business process about producing parameters, the team summarized the demands of the system; Then started developing the modules according to the design of the demands, and finally analyzed the performance of the system and put forward the further work.The author participated in the development of the pathology information system. In the project the author is mainly responsible for four modules such as login module, specimen management module, diagnose management module and large file transfer management module. And the specimen management module includes specimen receive module, embedding management module, slice management module and archive lending management module which covers almost all basic functions of the department of pathology. And during the implement time, the author designed and realized barcode printing capabilities which effectively reduced the mistakes made by operators. Finally the author analyzed and realized the function of large file transfer. As an additional design to the pathology information system in the market, the team add an intelligent diagnose module and do a lot of research for primary pathological diagnosis doctors or clinical findings to help provide some information. The further implementation will be finished in the later work. Furthermore, the module can be used in medical records management system later for a research that how the disease may mutate with time elapsing.
