The operating temperature of electrical equipment has great influence on its performance. The protection system should have the capability to monitor the operating temperature. In order to monitor the temperature of multi measuring point in a high power rectifier cabinet at the same time, this article present the whole process of design a multipoint temperature measurement system.The main content of the article is about the method of developing a control system, which using microcontroller as the main control unit for achieving the measurement signal processing, implementing communications with the host computer and completing human-computer interaction.The complete design can achieve real-time temperature signal sampling, display the result of measurement and provide a high temperature protection for high power rectifier cabinet. Design should consider modular design,which will help to easily expand the number of temperature measure point for future expansion requirements.The article firstly focus on choosing a temperature measurement sensor and designing the support circuit to complete the signal transformer and long distance transmission. Then based on Atmega128, a signal processing and over-temperature protection soft is developed and complete the function of communication and human-computer interactionThe test of the system show that the equipment can achieve purpose of measure temperature of multipoint in a cabinet. When the temperature is over the safe limit, the equipment can send warning signal and cut off the circuit reliably.
