In recent years, with the deployment of WiFi at large scale, the evaluation of wireless cellular networks and the popularity of mobile smart end devices combining with the both, the WiFi-cellular networks’ has been the hot spot in related field, as a type of mobile hybrid networks. Due to its advantages in networks combination, wide-bandwidth, and load-balance, it is deeply meaningful for the research of the WiFi-cellular networks to do the research related in coverage and routing technology of wireless heterogeneous networks.Firstly, the features in architecture of the wireless heterogeneous networks and the program for the standardization will be introduced in this thesis. In addition, this thesis focuses on the researches related in routing for the wireless heterogeneous networks. Base on the analyses to path discovery process of AODV, a reactive routing algorithm, we propose a novel scheme to achieve the gain in time saving of path discovery process, with the co-transmission in wireless heterogeneous networks.Having studied in the scheme of path discovery process of AODV, we modify the redundancy parts. And the novel scheme we proposed, mainly obtains the improvement with the co-transmission in WiFi-celluluar networks. In addition, the efficient and effective method in path finding of the AODV has been drawn into our Bi-AODV Hybrid routing based on creating the prerequisite of AODV.In this paper, we deploy our novel routing algorithm in the NS3(Networks Simulator3rd). And the Bi-AODV Hybrid routing algorithm will be created based on the modification to the stacks of protocol of AODV in NS3. Eventually, the results of the Bi-AODV Hybrid and AODV seems that the Bi-AODV Hybrid routing achieve the gain in time consumption and overhead in path discovery process, which is verified by our analyses.
