The business particularity of health care industry dictates the business information system be7*24uninterrupted and data be zero loss. It is of theoretical and realistic significance to protect the medical data and ensure the high availability of system. To construct a data disaster tolerance system, we need to grasp data disaster backup technology, analyze the business system requirements, and finally come up a blue-print and implement a disaster backup system. Data synchronization between the primary database and backup database lies at the core of the disaster recovery system. To achieve this goal, this thesis exploited the Oracle DataGuard technology and proposed a disaster tolerance system solution by constructing four suits remote-site disaster backup system for our hospital. In addition, to meet the demands of online real-time read/write on backup database,we improved the DataGuard solution by enabling real-time read/write capability with the help of LogMiner+JDBC driver. This main contributions of this thesis are as follows:(1) Made a review of the relevant theories and technology on data disaster tolerance and LogMiner; performed the system analysis and stated the goals.(2) Proposed the solution of a disaster backup system.. A baseline solution is addressed, which bases the disaster recover system on DataGuard, and it is enchanced by adding data synchronization using LogMiner.(3) Realized the remote-site disaster backup system. This thesis was involved in both database and the disaster tolerance technology, and made a beneficial exploration on the tricky issues of a data disaster tolerance system, such as system unstability and the data loss. We believe our piece of work provides a very useful experience.
