With the improvement of modernization of urban construction, underground garage has become an important part of city traffic system, the number and the scale of its construction are both increasing. When the driver enters into a large underground garage with numerous vehicles, it is often difficult to quickly and accurately find his own parking space. This kind of situation usually leads to garage internal traffic chaos, which not only causes a waste of time for the drivers, but also reduces the operation efficiency of the garage. The area of the underground garage is large, the natural lighting of the underground garage is poor, both of this result in a large number of artificial lighting. The traditional way of lighting control, usually keep most of the lamps bright for a long time, which causes a great waste of electricity, not only increase the economic burden of the customers, but also not comply with the current energy-saving policies.In view of the above problems, this paper puts forward a new system-intelligent control system of path planning and lighting navigation in underground garage. It can plan path for the vehicle in underground garage, according to the path, the corresponding lamps are opened to provide lighting navigation for the driver. Thus, it can not only realize the intelligent management of the garage, but also save electricity for the garage. The system is mainly composed of management control computer of the access, management control equipments of the access, network switching equipment, intelligent lighting controller, RFID reader. Intelligent lighting controller interaction with the RFID reader to get the traffic information of the garage and upload it to the control computer through the network switching equipment, the computer according to the traffic information to plan paths for vehicles and send the planning results to the intelligent lighting controller, the intelligent lighting controller light up the corresponding lamps to provide navigation for the drivers..In this paper, the model of the garage is build by grid method. An optimum path planning algorithm in the underground garage is improved based on the D*Lite algorithm. The algorithm can compute the shortest path between the access and the designated parking space for the import vehicle. When the need to recalculate the shortest path result from the traffic environment changes of the garage, the algorithm can update the path by reasonable analysis of the changed nodes and rational use of data calculated by last path planning. Through the comparative analysis of several algorithms, the improved algorithm improves the computation efficiency and more close to the actual situation.Besides, in this paper, the composition and function of the hardware equipments of the system are described, the intelligent lighting controller software is designed, the PC software with the function of video monitor, license plate recognition, information management, messaging, path planning is developed by the use of C#programming language and SQL Server database management system. Finally, the simulation result of planning the path and communication between the control computer and the intelligent lighting controller are demonstrated to verify the feasibility of the system and the accuracy of the path planning.
