With the continuous development of network technology and the gradually popularization of Internet application, the human really step in the great age of the information sharing.In the mode of Web2.0, the users can express their views more freedom and convenient. Get rid of the limitation of the time and the space, the newtechnologys make the information society happens which means people can realizethe real-time information sharing and interaction with others. With the emergenceof the We media such as BBS, community, Blog, Twitter.etc, a new round of media reform started.Since the we media has changed the traditional way of news production, themedia is no longer the specialist agencies with high criterion; it becomes an openplatform for ordinary people to speech and express. As the emergence of the we media, It becomes easier for ordinary people’s information transmission and access.At the same time, people no longer simply rely on mass media, but involved in theprocess of information production and dissemination as more as possible. The idea of "anyone can be a reporter" makes ordinary people began to pay more attention to the outside world and the lives of others. We can even say that the We-media has become an indispensable part of every ordinary people’s life.Compared to We-media’s prosperity and development, the role of traditional media in news dissemination is weakening, especially the publishing industry. With theimpact of We-media, the traditional publishing industry suffered unprecedented opportunities and challenges. On the one hand, because there are so many ways forpeople to obtain information that their reading habits has changed enough, so the traditional publishing industry has lost most of its readers and its authority status; on the other hand, the new media such as We-media also provides a diverse publishing content and production modes for traditional publishing industry. As a traditionpublisher, we should see the new media’s dissemination advantages and the traditional publishing’s disadvantages at first, and then to seek the cooperation space between the two medias. At the precondition of keeping our authority, we should think how to take good advantages of We-media to the sustainable development of traditional publishing industry.This paper discusses the inevitability and its unique mode of We-media, and the publishing industry change under the impact of We-media, then I point out the opportunities and challenges faced by traditional publishing industry. At last, some pieces of advice are provided for the development of traditional publishing industry.
