As an important part of the engineering course in university teaching, experimental teaching plays an indispensable role on cultivating the students’ability of practice and innovation. And the communication discipline has the theoretical and abstract features, then a large mount of experiments are needed to support its teaching. Because of the limitions such as equipmet loss, high overhead and difficult maintenance, to the operable equipment in laboratory, so it becomes a research topic to resolve this issue with the virtual experiments. And according to the home and abroad’s research, it’s concluded that the virtual experiment system facing the communication courses, on the one hand runs really slow, on the other hand lacks of the flexibility to build the experiment. Then the system can not support the users to set up the experiment with freedom, let alone the user-defined experimental component.In this paper, the system not only covers the disciplines of communication, but the realization of the dynamic compiler native Matlab language or files, allows the user to fully customize the extended components, which brings great flexibility to the system. And then the smart client which has the C/S and B/S hybrid structure is choosed to as the system’s architecture. The underlying modeling experiments are designed in Matlab, and we use the Java Builder product of Matlab inside to package the common functions to the called model class in Java development side. By using Java network and User Interface programming technologies, the smart client not only supports the users to build the simulation experiments according to their needs on the experiment platform, but also has the ability to add the third-party functionality to the customized component through compiling the Matlab language dynamicly.This paper aims to study the key technologies of communication disciplines virtual simulation, and achieves to the simulation system as the research results. And then we take the QPSK for example, describe the implementation process of system and experimental component and how to use them. The system’s performance is evaluated comprehensively according to the sumulaiton process and results. Finally, the in-depth exploration and practice was made to deveplop the user-defined components’ large-scale simulation and how to communicate with original curing components, and then the system’s development and upgrade were expected.
