Technology Research In The3G Network Implementation Of Smart Two-beam Antenna

Smart antenna can set the radio signal to a specific direction, and improve theutilization rate of the radio frequency spectrum of the antenna, the transmission of thewireless signal will have more effectively. In the third generation mobile communicationsystem, using smart antenna technology can significantly improve the capacity and servicequality of third generation mobile communication system.In this thesis, according to the number of users is increased in an area of a basestation, changed nextwork to3G FDD’s WCDMA network, using the1800MHz utilityfrequency of two-beam smart antenna which named CASM, to using the sector divisionway to enhance regional traffic capacity, the main contents of this thesis are as:(1) Run the constitute throry analysis of smart beam antenna, research the advantageof sector division and network application from the sector division,layout of the coverageof the antenna and traffic capacity and other indicators,(2) Run research from sector splitting technique side and do technical analysis forCASM two-beam smart antenna, given the sector optimizate solution;(3) Based on the position of base station antenna is fixed, just can do optimize fromantenna parameters design to meet the requirements of traffic capacity, run simulation forinterference, tilt angle of antenna by the simulation software HFSS,then come out theoptimization solution for covering.(4) Through the analysis and research of call loss, noise, communication probability,gives the solution of double beam smart antenna CASM capacity optimization.By comparing the field implementation of the project and the actual test data analysisand validation, using1800MHz frequency two-beam smart antenna CASM to instead ofthe original base station antenna, covering of sector division,traffic capacity and otherindicators are better than the original base station antenna, improved greatly performance,especially in the current high station business needs but unable to expansion area,intelligent choice of multi beam smart antenna as the solution, with some guidance andhelp.
