With the combination of various modern technologies, the openness and complexity ofthe design in the industrial control software are increasingly getting improved. It willextend the design circle, reduce the reliability and cause the difficulty with software reuse. After studying the related theories concerning software architecture and networkarchitecture, combined with the features of industrial control software system, the paperproposes the idea of constructing a hierarchical model which consists of five layers. Onthis basis, the paper gives a detailed description of the function definition and the relatedtechnical problems of each layer. Finally, with the design of a compounding device as anexample, the paper verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the hierarchical model inthe industrial control software system.Based on the hierarchical model proposed in this paper, various interfaces betweensoftware and other technologies can be mapped to the corresponding layers. It can bebeneficial to program each layer at the same time. It will reduce the costs of thedevelopment and maintenance and improve the software reliability.
