| With the increasing of networks’ scale and complexity in communications industry, there are morechallenges in management and control of the project in network engineering. Network project hasfeatures of wide coverage, lots of factors involved, and large resources consuming, long period oftime and so on. In an increasingly complex network environment and the changing of technologicalneeds, such projects usually are short of control in processing, quality and costs. Besides, in orderto meet the rapidly growing user demand on the market, the time of construction becomesextremely high demand when quality in the construction process reduces, which also leads to a lotof problems on the post-operation, maintenance and quality of service. In this paper, we use the theory of project management in the Chief Hall Project, such as developingproject schedule, managing the resource allocation, cost control, and quality control. The details areas follows:First, with literatures read, we get the application methods and process of project managementtheory. Then we analyze the Chief Hall Project based on the collected relevant details.Second, according to the progress of the project management theory, we breakdown the structureof the project, and draw the diagram of the project based on the context of the activities, thenestimate the duration of each activity, calculate the earliest start time, the earliest end time, the lateststart time, the latest end time etc., and finally find the critical path. We besides compare it with theoriginal schedule, and find the deficiencies of the project.Third, we analyze the resource allocation under the constraints in duration and resources in order toadjust the start time; Using earned value method to analyze cost control in the project, and takeappropriate measures to adjust the progress of the project based on different correspondingsituations with the calculation results; Then analyzing the whole process of the project to make acomprehensive quality control. |
