| The current Internet is going through a transition period from IPv4to IPv6. With the remarkabledevelopment of streaming media applications and IPv6technology, traditional network applicationsoftware running in IPv4network environment is necessary to be migrated to the IPv6networkenvironment. It is of big practical value to research and implement streaming media transporttechnology in IPv6network environment.To solve the differences between IPv4and IPv6support for network applications, thetechnology of the transition from IPv4to IPv6is elaborated. From the perspective of networkapplications, by analyzing and comparing the socket API differences between IPv4and IPv6, asolution of migrating IPv4network applications to IPv6network applications is proposed. Byanalyzing and comparing the differences between IPv4and IPv6support for network applications, ascheme of migrating streaming media software from IPv4network to IPv6network is proposed.Through migrating streaming media software Live555from IPv4network to IPv6network, andtesting streaming media transport system based on Live555, the function of transporting streamingmedia in IPv6network environment is validated.Final tests and analyses are conducted in this thesis. Test results show that the streaming mediatransport system based on Live555operates normally, and the streaming media transport in IPv6network environment is reliable and stable. |
