| With the rapid development of Internet and related technologies, the inherent defects of TCP is becoming increasingly apparent. It has been reach a consensus that SCTP will replace TCP and become the transfer protocol in next generation internet.In order to aggregate bandwidth and improve transmission throughput of end-to-end, on the basis of the SCTP, the researchers propose a scheme of Concurrent Multipath Transfer (CMT), throughput modeling of SCTP-CMT is the core issue. It has much significance in theory and much value in appli-cation to carry out the research of throughput modeling of End to End CMT in next-generation internet.So far, many researchers had been studied the multi-streaming and multi-homed features of SCTP to improve the throughput, some researchers also proposed modeling for TCP and SCTP, but all of them have disadvantages more or less.The major shortcomings of existing models is:(1) most of the model are focus on the SCTP and TCP, although its have signific-ance to the later model, but with the updated of SCTP version, it needs the emergence of a maturity throughput model.(2) Most models assume that every path has the same network performance parameters, but in fact the network performance parameters of different net-works are different, and some are even different greatly. So such models can not reflect the actual situation of the network environment strictly.In response to these problems, we build a SCTP-CMT throughput model for the inte-grated period named Throughput Model-Oriented Integrated Period.(TM-OIP). First, we set different round-trip time, packets loss rate and other parameters for two paths between sender and receiver, as well as to solve the problem of unnecessary retransmission,congestion win-dow update not timely and deal with much SACK in fast retransmit period. we open the Split Fast Retransmit algorithm; CWND Update With CMT algorithm; Delayed Ack for CMT al-gorithm; Secondly, we divide model into two parts according to the question of whether af-fected by receiver buffer or not,each part from the three phases are divided into three parts(time-out period, the slow start period and congestion avoidance period) to design, ana-lyzing the impact on Scwnd changes by different parameters, we develop the throughput model in three parts, and then we deriving the expression for the probability that a loss is a TO, then according to the probability to combine these throughput expression of three periods and derives a expression of throughput expression in integrated period. Simulation results show the accuracy and rationality of the model.Finally, we summarize this paper and propose the future research directions. |
