It’s become increasingly important that how to take full advantage of a variety of Science and Technology for human beings in this information explosion era.In addition,the requirement of the efficiency of work is also higher and higher.in order to adapt to the great charge of the new era,The engineering experts use geographic information system as researching tools, In recent years geographic information system has been a wide range of applications in the construction of China’s economic, Such as minerals, planning, energy, etc. This system has good spatial extension and compatibility characteristics. Currently, geographic information systems have the introduction into geotechnical engineering.Although the application of GIS to the field of geotechnical engineering is relatively late, However, the development of GIS is fairly rapid, many professionals got a certain amount of success though the study and try. Geotechnical engineering applications of geographic information systems continuous development and improvement, geographic information systems in the field of geotechnical engineering have a great development of space programme.This paper mainly discuss how to establish geotechnical investigation and design integration, the paper establishs geographic information databases through the exploration of the Youth Avenue, further adding to the geotechnical design software to complete the establishment of the expert system. The entire system consists of system management, data management, graphical display, layer management, spatial analysis, helping functional modules. The user-friendly, full-featured data processing, with a strong practical, scalability, geotechnical exploration point automatic processing, automatic report generation platform.The expert systems would solve the geotechnical exploration and design problems, such as the time and resources to solve other geotechnical issues.The results show that:GIS is the product of the development of computer technology in the information age, fast, accurate, comprehensive spatial orientation and process dynamic analysis of complex geographic systems. The introduction of this technology will greatly enhance the work efficiency savings in manpower and material resources, and provide a platform for the future development of geotechnical engineering.At last, I summarize the whole thesis and put forward the prospects of future researches.
