People are used to use sound to feel the3D world we live in. Over the decades, there are many scholars studying stereo, hoping to recreate the real sound field in the sealed room or cinema and make the audiences be able to tell the sound source position and have a good feeling of being personally on the scene. The study of stereo can be divided into three classes, namely loudspeaker stereo, binaural acoustic and nature sound field synthesis. Nature sound field synthesis is widely used due to its bigger sweet spot, namely the available region.Wave field synthesis(WFS) is belong to nature sound field synthesis. This method processes the virtual sound or input signal from microphone array, and outputs the processed signal through loudspeaker array to create the needed sound field. But the room in which the sound field is recreated has reflection influence to sound wave, which can spoil the recreated sound field. So in practice, it’s very important to manage the reflection influence. For Room Compensation can reduce the influence of the reflection by dealing with the output signal which is used in free space, it is widely used in practice. This article studies about the algorithm of Room Compensation, and proposes the methods to improve the original algorithm and reduce the number of microphones used in getting the room impulse response. Below is the main work.(1) Using relationship between human ear and sound pressure to recreate sound field. This method takes advantage of non-linear relationship between human ear and sound pressure to modify the weights of error in the recreated sound field.(2) Using GMR to reduce the number of microphones. This method builds the model of transfer function and GMM model using database created by collected data, and calculates the transfer function on any needed position through the model.The experimental results demonstrate that the quality of sound field recreated by the method proposed in this article is better, and the proposed scheme of collecting room impulse response can reduce the number of microphones effectively.
