With the rapid development of computer technology, both design concept and application technology in clothing field are undergoing remarkable changes, and3D clothing system for customized design is the important development direction at present. This paper completes the research on non-contact body measurement technology for customizing based on grating projection measurement principle and computer visualization technology.At first, through studying non-contact body measurement technology, the3D data of target body is obtained using the grating projection measurement principle. Then, the digital manikin is built by using reverse engineering modeling technology to lay scientific and reliable foundation for tailored clothing. Next, the combined developable surface geometric model is set up based on characteristic curve data of measured manikin, so the3D surface structure design of clothing prototype is accomplished.In this paper, the clothing tailored software uses Win7as the development platform, and takes advantage of Visual Studio2010as development environment and OpenGL as3D graphic development kit to realize the foundation of manikin and establish the clothing prototype surface. And also the clothing texture mapping is achieved in3D virtual reality environment to show different fabrics, so that users can choose various patterns according to their behalf. The lighting model is added to enhance the sense of reality.3D geometric transformation function can make users view the wearing effect in360degree, so they can zoom in detail or narrow to view the overall effect. Finally, this software realizes the design goal of establishing a friendly interactive interface.
