| With the rising of motor vehicle ownership, the pressure of urban roads is more and more higher, the road congestion, wasting of resources and atmospheric pollution are also more serious. A large number of empty run by household vehicles, with low carrying rate, that is an important reason who causes these problems, which seriously impedes the fast development of urban traffic. Carpool by household vehicles as a new way of transportation, has been fully recognized and applied in so many nations, and proved to be an effective way to improve load rate of household vehicles, reduce the pressure of the urban road, and reduce the travel cost. By analyzing the development condition and the insufficiency of carpool in China, we designed the intelligent carpool system for household vehicles with the compensation way of mileage swap.The system can provide safe and convenient services of carpooling by private cars for these users.Through the analysis and investigation of domestic and foreign carpool problem, the system incorporates the server, the mobile and the vehicle terminal. The server-side divides into the system response part and the data management part. The data management part realizes the storage of user and carpool data by using Mysql Databases. And the response part implements functions of the register and login management, the carpool matching, the carpool history query and so on.The mobile terminal is designed based on user’s intelligent mobile devices, with the client for Android. It implements function modules of register and login, carpool matching, personal query and so on. The vehicle part is designed on Tiny6410embedded development board, also with the client of Android system. Functions of the vehicle positioning and3G wireless communication of terminal are realized by the GPS and wireless communication module. Combined with the vehicle client, the terminal implements the management of the carpool process and update of carpool information. The data query website is also designed for the administrator to handle and manage.That is easy to promote the popularization of carpool mode and rational using of private vehicle resources, through the foundation and use of the intelligent carpool system for household vehicles. It can not only reduce pressure of urban roads, improve the status of traffic congestion, reduce energy wasting and exhaust pollution, but also can cut down the travel cost, bring convenience and benefit for resident’s daily travelling. It will have a positive social benefit and economic benefit for sure. |
