Design And Prototype Implementation Of A B/S Based Information System Framework

With highly developed IT technology, today network-based information systems is becoming the necessary information management tools for a variety of enterprises, institutions and organizations. Different information systems need to solve different problems. However, because of the similarities of their development approach and their architecture of B/S, they all have certain similarities both in development process and functions.Therefore, designing and implementing a common framework for information systems by combining these systems’common structures and functions and providing the developing specification, can certainly improve the efficiency of development, and improve the normative and robustness of information systems.Existing information system frameworks adopt the design concepts of software engineering and rely on Web development framework. Using them will provide a simple specification for the developers of information systems, and saving the development costs to a certain extent. However, for some of the common problems in information system development process, such as the duplication of development of common function, these frameworks do not make a good solution.In this paper, we will design and implement a common development framework for B/S architecture based information systems. The framework is based the LAMP platform. According to the requirements of using and developing of information systems, it provides a framework contained with a middle layer and several common modules. By using it, the developers will be able to focus on the decvelopment of specific businesses, and thus complete the entire information system.
