"Parts Marshalling" is one of the key procedures in aero engine maintenance. It consists of a series of activities:collecting and receiving parts, storing them, listing the requirements in total, booking more parts from stocks and sending them out to assembly workshop. In MTU Maintenance Zhuhai Co. Ltd, a leading aero engine maintenance company of Asia, all the aero engine parts are grouped into3categories-Main Parts, Common Hardware(CH) and Non-Module Parts(NMP), according to their different control management. It is found in this company, there is still some improvement space for Main Parts collecting management, in order to build up a well-organized and efficient usage of space in parts storage area. In CH/NMP requirement list generating process, a more precise and intelligent approach is also expected.Aero engine parts purchasing is also a critical process which affects the Total Around Time(TAT) of an engine maintenance. It will help a lot if there is a system to let all the involved people in the material preparation phase mark the critical purchasing items and track the feedback of suppliers, forwarders or the customs. To solve these problems, a project was set up to develop a system assisting the parts management. Main Parts collecting and storing, CH/NMP requirement list generating, and purchasing orders tracking are the first3system modules which have been implemented and deployed. After some months running, it has been proved to be a suitable and efficient solution. This thesis will focus on these3modules, and describe in detail the user requirements, system architecture and design, functional modules, data flow and interface of the system development. A flexible and workable user authorization control model for WinForm is developed in the system, it is also used in several other WinForm applications successfully, the ideas are described in this thesis, too.
